RFQ Checklist
heavy duty electric linear actuator
Before specifying a heavy duty electric linear actuator, resolve the load through the complete stroke, how side loads will be carried outside the actuator, and the duty cycle plus holding requirement at maximum ambient temperature. This page is a decision dossier, not an environmental statement. There is no carbon, net-zero or circular-economy claim here. Electric Linear Actuator Sourcing uses the checklist to keep factory quotes comparable. It does not certify plants or treat catalog millimetres per second as a contracted loaded time.

Record moving load in N through the full stroke, holding in kN if used, stroke in mm, retracted length, supply in VDC, required extension time, mounting geometry, quantity and destination. Attach the drawing revision by name. Work envelope is the remaining length for rod, cables and any parallel guide, not only the installed footprint. Tooling is pins, extra cables and alignment fixtures. Three-phase supply, connected load and PLC interface names apply only if a cabinet or controller package is in the design.
Price exclusions
Tick whether controllers, power supplies, synchronization, guides, spare parts, training, installation, freight, duties and commissioning are inside or outside the heavy duty electric linear actuator price. A missing tick is an exclusion. Cooling water for a cooled drive and SAT travel are also site-cost items. No percentage advantage is stated on this page. Optional budget notes (currency, per-unit or whole-order) help search; they are not a factory rating. Supplier preference (premium, mid-range, budget-friendly, or not sure) is a buyer selection.
Response basis
A supplier response is usable when it restates the load-speed pair, duty cycle at ambient, included documents and the FAT sample. Public manufacturer tables that split full-load speed from no-load speed on an Electrak HD sheet (observed 2026-09-17) may be cited as questions. They are not this site’s specification. Throughput language is replaced by loaded extension time. Duty cycle is starts per hour plus loaded travel duration at the stated temperature.
Remaining inputs: side-load sketch, actual pull-space for maintenance, spare-parts list, and whether FAT is witnessed. Mark unknowns. Do not invent connected load for a 12 VDC rod without a cabinet.
Selection trade-off: a single heavy-duty rod versus a guided pair. Interfaces, staffing and acceptance boundaries differ. A second trade-off is catalog millimetres per second versus validated extension time on the buyer’s load. A third is machine price versus installed project cost. Cycle time for a loaded stroke belongs in the approval record if campaigns switch fixtures. Positioning of pin centres is judged on drawings. Supply frequency in Hz must match the US plant if electric cabinets are included. Changeover between products means a new load or stroke, not a packaging format.
Reference observation dated 2026-09-17 on an open Thomson Electrak HD page is used only as a unit and attribute checklist (dynamic load N, static load kN, stroke mm, speed mm/s, voltage VDC, duty cycle). That observation is not a US-localized ranking claim and is not an offer from this service. This independent sourcing guide does not imply affiliation with the manufacturer.
